Wolves have completed the signing of defender Fernando Marcal on a two year contract.
The 31 year old Brazilian made 68 appearances for Lyon, starting the club in 2017. Marcal started in last season’s Champions League quarter and semi-final.
Marcal is Wolves’ second summer signing after they brought in Fabio Silva. Marcal isn’t the average defender, which is probably why Wolves seize the opportunity to sign him.
“Of course, because of his nationality, Marcal was subject to a work permit application, and I am delighted that the panel shared our view on the player’s quality and how he can help Wolves.”
