Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has had a favourable surgery on his knee ligament injury.
The 29 year old Dutch professional footballer has not played since damaging anterior cruciate ligaments in a challenge with Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford on October 17.
No timeframe has been placed on Van Dijk’s return, Liverpool said.
“The surgery was successful, which is really good, the best news we could get. “After the operation manager Jurgen Klopp said, “He is good as good as can be”.
Returning to action after ACL surgery can take several months.
