Norwich City have rejected a £10m offer from Premier League champions Liverpool for left-back Jamal Lewis.
It was understood that Canaries value the Northern Ireland player remarkably higher, especially as he is under contract until 2023.
He qualified as a homegrown player and it’s believed that Norwich instantly turned down Liverpool’s offer, which also included a sell-on clause.
Liverpool want Lewis as cover for Scotland captain Andy Robertson.
There’s determination at Norwich that they will not let any of their gifted players leave on the cheap.
They are unhappy with Liverpool’s offer and feel they are not in a position where they have to sell.
