The Women’s Cricket World Cup, which was scheduled to take place next year, has been postponed until February-March 2022 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

In addition, the 2020 men’s T20 World Cup has also been postponed due to the pandemic, and will be held in Australia in 2022.

“We have taken the decision to move ICC  Women’s Cricket World Cup to give players from every nation< the best opportunity to be ready,”said ICC chief executive Manu Sawhney.

“Moving the event by 12 months gives all competing teams the chance to play on a sufficient level of cricket so the integrity of the tournament in maintained.”
