The chapter of Jadon Sancho at Manchester United has officially come to an end.

Five years after completing a £75 million move from Borussia Dortmund, the English winger has departed Old Trafford as a free agent, bringing a disappointing spell with the club to a close.

Sancho arrived in 2021 with high expectations and was viewed as one of Europe’s brightest young talents. However, despite moments of promise, he struggled to consistently deliver the performances many supporters and pundits expected. His time at United was further complicated by periods away from the first team and loan spells elsewhere.

As one of the most expensive signings in the club’s history, Sancho’s departure marks the end of a transfer that ultimately failed to live up to its enormous hype. While his talent remains unquestioned, his spell at Manchester United will be remembered as one of the most underwhelming high-profile transfers in recent Premier League history.

Now a free agent, Sancho begins a new chapter in his career as he looks to rediscover the form that made him one of the most sought-after young players in world football.
