The men’s 100m
Blake got the best start and was in control of the race, but Forte maintained his form and composure to reduce the gap on Blake. Within the last few metres, leaning at the tape to get the nod in a photo finish, as both athletes were timed in 10.20 seconds.
The men’s 200m
The 200m dash was the first of the two track events for men and that was won by national 400m record holder Rusheen McDonald. Rusheen McDonald 21.48, ahead of second place Emmanuel Callender 21.88, then Glenmore Biggs in 25.37 seconds.
The women’s 200m
Thompson-Herah cruise home within 22.79 seconds, metres ahead of Anthonique Strachan in 23.87 seconds, Srabani Nanda 24.06 and Junelle Bromfield in 24.33.
